Indiana in the spring

My husband and I took a trip to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Bloomington, Indiana.

It was a perfect time for a visit with all the new spring growth on the trees.  The grass was such a fresh bright green.  And most of all I loved the lilacs that welcomed me to her yard when we arrived at their home.

I quickly gathered up a bunch to bring in the house and enjoy!

Had to stop and say hi to the chickens along the side of the road

And of course, we had rain…..lots of rain.

and some flooding as well.

sunken, as the sign says

Can't get it that way.

We even got hailed on running from the restaurant back to our hotel.

Ouch

4 moms with 4 babies came to greet us at the fence when we drove by slowly

So much rain in Indiana. I am assuming that this is not normal for you.

Here in the south east we are longing for rain as gardens and fields so dried up with farmers struggling with wheat yield etc.

Love your pics and the garden.
